Chatterboxes

T and I put Tiny and Buba to bed at 7:30pm. It’s normal for them to chat for a bit before going to bed, but they’re still chatting right now. They don’t sound the least bit tired. I, on the other hand, am completely exhausted but have piles of laundry and other household chores to attend to. It just doesn’t seem fair.

I hear your pain. We went to a birthday party today, the kind that should have totally tired my little guy out (one of those run-around, jump-around places.) I kept thinking, “tonight we’ll have an early night for once!”. Nope. He didn’t fall asleep until 8:45!!

Why is it when you really need them to go to sleep those are the nights that they have the most energy?? Crazy! It is like they know you are waiting!

So often, I could go to bed and fall asleep immediately, but the kids always seem to want to stay awake at those moments!

I worked my part-time job last night and managed to fall into bed at midnight. So of course my girls were up by 6am and at my door asking goofy questions “When are we buying Easter dresses” was the big one! As for the laundry, I’ve found that if I throw in a load right when I wake up, then I feel like I’ve accomplished something for the day!

the talking turned goofing off reached all time high last night so I did the unthinkable…..today we skipped the nap. I sooo wished it hadn’t worked….ugh! goo bye sanity saving siesta!
