The girls and I paid a visit to the salon today. Baby A got her third haircut, and Baby B got her first. I never knew that dealing with baby hairstyles would be such a big decision!

Ideally, I would like for their hair to grow to one length, so they can have cute little pigtails and ponytails. But their hair was all down in their eyes, and neither one was having ANYTHING to do with a barrette.

So I got their bangs trimmed, along with a little shape-up in the back. I figure I'll let their bangs grow when they're a little older and can be more "responsible" with a barrette...HA!

It's funny that your hubby is the one saying not to cut Buba's hair! My hubby would prefer I give our GIRLS a buzz cut, "just to make it easier"...like he has to wash and style their hair himself. LOL

AWWWW...I do love those curls!! Being as mine are of the fine stick straight variety, I don't even have to brush it. Don't hit me :) But we do get shamed by friends and family into a trim every few months due to ye ol mullet.
I am always trying to find ways to avoid the inevitable $40 for 2 toddler haircuts....so I say leave the curls :)

If you don't have it already, consider reading Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. It is THE BEST information on taking care of curly hair of all types and textures.. It also has a chapter on taking care of children's curly hair.

Who knew I'd ever have such strong opinions on hair? I keep Daniel's hair pretty short, even when he hardly had any of it. So my vote is always for a nice trim. :-) That said, I think there are few things as cute as toddlers in baseball hats!

We finally got Michael's hair cut just before he turned 2. He's had 3 haircuts so far (including the one I attempted to give him last summer. Michael's hair grew in kind of crazy too. He pretty much had a mullet for the longest time. I decided to try to cut his hair last summer and it looked better, but he still had the mullet. We took him to a barber in January for his first real haircut then again in February. It looks really cute cut short, but I miss his curls. I am thinking about letting it grow again so that the curls some back. Eva Rose has curl too, but I'm not sure about Thomas since he is just starting to get hair!
